Caistor Centre - On Sunday morning, one of Caistor Centre's oldest and most highly respected citizens in the person of James Asher, passed away at his home near Caistorville, at the age of 82.

One of our oldest and most highly esteemed residents, in the person of James Asher, passed peacefully away on Sunday morning at 7:30 o'clock at the ripe old age of nearly 82 years. He will be greatly missed by his family, also by the community, both social and religious circles. He leaves to mourn his loss four sons and two daughters: James of Buffalo, Egerton and Anderson of Caistorville, Hugh of Abingdon, Mrs. J.R. Christie of New York and Phoeba at home, his wife having died over a year ago. Funeral from his late residence, Caistor, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment at Caistorville cemetery.
