On Sunday morning last one of Grimsby's best businessmen passed away in the person of John V. VanDyke, head of the firm of J. VanDyke & Sons. For the past three months an insidious disease of the liver has been sapping his strength, and althoughh he held up bravely until the very last, his indomitable spirit had to give away and he was gathered peacefully to his Father's. As we go to press his remains are being laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery. An extended review of his life will appear next week.
