The remains of the late T.C. Brownjohn arrived here from Toronto last Friday morning by the 9:51 train and were met at the station by the local Masonic Brethren. The coffin was conveyed to the deceased's late residence by the undertaker from which place the funeral started at 3:00 p.m. (17 Jan. 1890). The Freemasons had charge of the funeral. There was service by Canon Reade in the church and the usual Masonic service at the grave. The chief mourners - Mr. Harry Brownjohn, brother of the deceased; S. Spillett, brother-in-law: Bert and Archie Muir, nephews. T.C. Brownsjohn died in the St. James Hotel, Toronto, where he was boarding. He was taken with diarrohea the day previous to his death and his sudden decease was a surprise to everybody. None of his family were able to be present at the funeral.
