On Wednesday of last week the relatives and friends of Geo. Muir met at his residence to again wish him joy after 50 years of married life. Fifty years of storm and sunshine: fifty yearsof ups and downs: fifty years of successes and failures. Time has brought him snowy hair and slower steps, and robbed him of the physical strengths of other years. But it has not robbed him or his devoted wife of that genial spirit and kindly nature that endears them to all and characterizes their everyday existence. The house was full of children, grandchilren, relatives and friends, all bent on enjoying themselves to their utmost capacity. The Rev. Mr. Dyer of Stoney Creek tied the knot that had been tied half a century before, good and strong. An excellent repast was provided to which ample justice was done by all. The presents were numerous and sensible such as will be useful to them in their old age. The guests parted late in the day with many good wishes for the health and happiness of the old people.
