The funeral of Valmer Orton Merritt was held on Thursday afternoon from the home of his brother, Benson Merritt, Caistor Township, to Ker United church for service, with Rev. D.A. Bryden, of Caledonia United Church conducting the services. Pallbearers were Lyall Merritt, Stanley Merritt, Reginald Merritt, Oliver Merritt, Earl Norton and Alex Young.
