Mr. W.F. Clarke of Grimsby, received word last week of the death of his brother, John, at his home at Cleveland, Ohio. The deceased gentleman was born in Grimsby, being a brother of W.F. Clarke of this place, Henry B. Clarke of Toronto, the late George, A. Clarke, Grimsby, Mrs. A. O.(?) Bowslaugh of Grimsby and Mrs. Black of Winnipeg, Man. Many years ago Mr. John Clarke left Grimsby and settled in Ohio and he has only returned occasionally to visit his relatives here. Messrs. W. F. Clarke and H.B. Clarke went to Cleveland to attend the funeral which took place on Saturday, May 31st. The deceased was 74 years of age and is survived by his wife and one daughter.
