Lester, Peter (Died)

The death occurred on Thursday night, January 2, of an old and respected resident in the person of Mr. Peter Lester, at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Walter Wilcox. Deceased was 86 years of age and had been in failing health for some time. His wife, who was formerly Mrs. Sloan, predeceased him about 6 years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Walter Wilcox and four step-children, Mrs. W. Park of Binbrook, Mrs. J. Shields of Toronto, and J.H. and Merritt Sloan also of Toronto. The funeral was held from his late residence on Sunday afternoon to Caistorville Methodist church, for service and interment, services being conducted by Rev. G I. Stephenson. Pallbearers were Messrs. Jas. Shields, E. Asher, H. Brown, G. Lymburner, W. Bell, and W. Swick.
