After a lingering illness, Thomas H. Patterson passed away at his home in Binbrook on Monday morning. Mr. Patterson had lived for nearly 50 years in Blackheath and for many years was connected with the opening of the gas fields there. He was a member of Blackheath United church. He moved to Binbrook village about 8 years ago. Surviving are his widow, formerly Miss Laverie Martin, two sons, A.M. Patterson, of Toronto, and S.W. Patterson, of Blackheath, and one daughter, Mrs. H.P. Shepard, of Denver, Colorado. Also one brother, R.F. Patterson, of Hamilton, and one granddaughter, Miss Marie Patterson, of Ryckman's Corners. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from his late residence to Blackheath cemetery for interment, followed by service in the Blackheath United Church.
