After a brief illness there passed away in North Grimsby on Sunday George Douglas, one of the township's most prominent citizens, who took a very keen and active part in the municipal life of the community, that interest being responsible for his being elected a member of North Grimsby Township Council on several occasions. The deceased was in his 63rd year and is survived by his widow, one daughter, Catharine and two sons, Richard of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and George at home. The funeral took place from his late residence Tuesday afternoon, interment being made at the Union Cemetery Smithville.
