The sad news reached Mrs. (Dr.) W.E. Millward and family on Wednesday, December 10th that her youngest son Stanley had died at Orange, Texas after a brief illness of influenza and pneumonia. The funeral was arranged to take place here on Sunday, December 15th, but on account of delay in the arrival of the body, did not take place until Tuesday, December 17th, when he was buried in Queen's Lawn Cemetery with Masonic honours. Hugh Stanley Gerard Millward was born in Grimsby 33 years ago and lived here till about 10 years ago when he went to New York City. In 1912 he married Helen Irma Kriess, of New York. She survives him and is at the present time recovering from illness at home in Orange, Texas. Deceased was a member of Union Lodge No. 7, A.F. and A.M., Grimsby. The funeral took place on Tuesday, December 17th at 3:30 p.m. ... The pallbearers were six brother Masons; E.H. Culp, J.H. Culp, H.H. Farrell, Wilmer R. Fisher, A.H. Phipps, and Jas. Wray. Besides his widow and his mother, he is survived by three brothers, Arthur M. of Winnipeg, W. Percy of Winona and Harold J. of Hamilton, two step-brothers, J. Albert McConnell, customs appraiser, Winnipeg, and William H. McConnell, Hamilton, and three sisters, Mrs. Grace Hurst, of Beamsville, Mrs. Pearl Tutschulte of Orange, Texas and Miss Muriel of New York and one step-sister Mrs. Katie Walters of Brookville, PA. ...
