Mrs. William Cowan, Grimsby, has received the official report of her own son, Pte. Ewart M. Cowan, who was killed in action on April 9, 1917. The location of the grave is a half mile south of Givenchy and four and a quarter miles southwest of Lens, France. A wooden cross with all particulars of the deceased inscribed thereon has been erected in his memory. ... Pte. Cowan's body was found on the field of battle and buried in the 11th Can.
