The Rev. L.H. Currie, pastor of St. John's Presbyterian Church, Grimsby, went to Toronto and conducted the funeral services of the late Rev. John Muir, M.A., at the family residence, 288 Glen Road, Rosedale, Toronto, at 8:00 o'clock Wednesday evening, March 7th. On Thursday the remains of the deceased reached Grimsby ... and were taken to the old Forbes homestead which the Grimsby Club at the disposal of the family for the purpose of the funeral. ... The pallbearers were the Rev. J. Allan Ballard, G.B. McConachie, John Alway, Jas. Aitchison, and Murray Fitch of Grimsby, Hugh Bertram of Vinemount and Wilson Wylie of Vineland. ... His late wife was the last of the Forbes family in Grimsby ... In addition ... his son Willie was overseas and unable to be present with his father during his last sickness. Thus, the entire burden was thrown upon the only daughter, Agnes, who was his constant companion up to the hour of his demise ...
