Quite a number from Grimsby and vicinity went to Beamsville on Tuesday afternoon, March 13, to attend the funeral of the late Robert Zimmerman, who passed away in his 77th year. The late Robert Zimmerman was a veteran of the Finian Raid of 1866 and his remains were borne to their last resting place in Mt. Osborne Cemetery by 6 veterans who had gone with him in 1866 to the defense of their country. There was quite an attendance, also, of Orangemen as the deceased gentleman had been a member of the L0L 1333 when it was held in Beamsville many years ago.
