The death occurred on May 28th, 1936, of Emeline, widow of John Gowland, at the residence of her son, Cecil P. Gowland, Grassies. The deceased was in her 76th year. Following a short service at the above address, a public service was held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Smithville on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
