Mr. Herman Mayer, a resident of Grimsby for about 10 years where he carried on the business of harness maker, passed away on Saturday at York where he had latterly made his home, following a period of ill health. He was in his 77th year. His widow survives. The funeral took place from the Fonthill United Church on Monday, Rev. E.A. Earchman of Grimsby officiating. Burial took place in the Quaker Cemetery near that place.
