George Wesley Merritt, an old resident of this place, died Friday at the home of his only daughter, Delia (Mrs. Ernest Teeft), with whom he has lived the last two years. He was born at Merritt Settlement 77 years ago and lived there on his father's farm for many years. The funeral was held Monday from Merritt's Funeral Home, with interment in Merritt Settlement Cemetery.
