The death occurred at the General Hospital, St. Catharines on Saturday of Solomon Price, old resident of Jordan Station, and one of the oldest members of Union Lodge, No. 16, I.O.O.F. The late Mr. Price had been a member of the Lodge for the past 63 years. Born in Louth Township 83 years ago he had spent practically all his life at Jordan Station. Five days ago he fell fracturing his hip and he passed away as a result of the fall. His wife predeceased him 40 years ago; one daughter, Mrs. Buckingham, Buffalo, N.Y. survives. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from the Funeral Home of Winter and Winter. Interment was made in Oak Lawn Cemetery at Jordan Station.
