Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Secor, of Ridgeville, have been advised that their son, Pte. Clifford Leslie Secor, was killed in action, Oct. 23, in Holland. Born in Grimsby Centre in 1921, he attended Grimbsy Centre Public School and the Smithville High School, and before enlistment was employed in Welland. Pte. Secor enlisted in June 1942, with the 2nd-10th Dragoons and trained at Camp Niagara and Debert, N.S., before his posting overseas in May 1943. He crossed to France last September with the Royal Regiment of Canada. In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Glenmore Smith of Hamilton and Mrs. Frank Jeffrey of St. Catharines; two brothers, Robert of Hamilton, who returned from overseas two years ago, and Gerald, who is serving with the RCAF overseas.
