Lance-Cpl. Reginald Dingman, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Dingman, Grimsby Beach, was killed in action in Italy on September 20, according to official notification received by his parents Thursday. He was wounded in action on December 26th, 1943, and had rejoined his unit some time ago. He enlisted 4 years and 7 months ago and went overseas with the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment. Overseas, he was transferred to the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (W.R.), and after serving with that unit for over a year went to the 48th Highlanders with reinforcements. His father, a veteran of the last war, was with the Veterans' Guard for some time in the present war. A brother, Gnr. Wilbert Dingman, is overseas. Another brother, Spr. Lawrence Dingman was overseas but has returned to Canada and is at present on duty in Northern Ontario with the Veterans' Guard.
