Dr. W.S. Hibbard, 79, veterinary surgeon at Smithville for the past 59 years, died at his home Thursday morning after a brief illness. Dr. Hibbard was born in Mount Hope, and since coming to Smithville had been active in community affairs, especially in temperance work. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Surviving are his widow, the former Clara Honsberger; a son, W. Harold of Smithville; a daughter, Mrs. H.W. MacCoombes, of Welland, and a grandson, Craig, Smithville.
