One of the best known residents of Stoney Creek passed away at his home on Lake Avenue, Saturday morning in the person of Alfred Murray Hendershot, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Wilbert Hendershot of Elfrida, Ont. Deceased was 42 years of age ... he was born in Elfrida, but for the last 23 years, he had resided in Stoney Creek ... Surviving him is his wife and daughter, Lily, and his mother, and two brothers, Elmer and Philip, both of Elfrida; also five sisters, Mrs. Albert Marshall and Mrs. James Penfold of Tapleytown; Mrs. David Tregunno of Dundas, Mrs. Harvey Hildreth of Grimsby and Miss Irene Hendershot of Elfrida.
