William Friend, 69, passed away last Wednesday afternoon at the home of Albert Simms, Woolverton Mountain, with whom he has lived in retirement for some time. The deceased man, who was born in the Old Country, came to this district 34 years ago, and was a successful farmer for over a quarter of a century at Spring Creek. In 1930, after his wife passed away, he sold his farm and retired.
The funeral service will be held next Saturday afternoon, with Rev. J.A. Ballard officiating. Interment will be at Campden Cemetery.
