Proper Lights On Autos Anfaouncefment that reflations with resipect to lights on automobiles will in future be strictly enforced, shuld meet with approval. Faulty lights on motor cars have been the cause of many an accident that other- wise would not have occurred'. The "one light" car has l)een a menace on the highways long enough. There has been altogether too much leniency shown offenders in this re- spect, and the sooner the police take measures to bring the offenders to time, the better it will be for all concerned. Jf the highways are to be made safe, it mnist be insisted on that every car be equipped with headlights and tail lights, and seen to that they are properly adjusted and properly •Socussed, so they will function. A driver who makes a practice of travelling the roads with fault>- light- ing equijpment is just as much a men- ace to traffic as the driver who tears along at a reokle&s speed to the danger of everyone he meets. Motorists who offend in this con- nection ha.ve only themselves to blame if made an exanvple of by the police. If the practice of driving "proper lights" is stopped, it will greatly improve motoring conditions. Responsible motorists no doubt will endorse any action that may be tak- en by the traffic officers to discour- age breaches of this regulation. United Church Notes Rev. A. G.
