The grandfather ot Rev. W. A. White pastor of Cedarside Baptist. Church! who was Rev. W. G. White, at that tame pastor of Ohsweken Tusikarora baptist Church, was present at the Bell homestead at Brantford when the first call was sent through to the Court House a^t Brantford. With him at the tune were two of the Indians from the resei-ve. One of them was at the Court House and the other at Tuleta Heights, the Bell home. They spoke to each other in their native tongue, and when their conversation was finished the Indian remarked "It speaks the same lai^uage I do." Kennedy Rink Won Bonspiel Jack Kennedy's rink took first place in the curling bonsjpiel held by the local club on Thursday afternoon and evening last. Eight rinks were entered in competition, the total scores being taken as winners. Rus- sell Adrew's rink was second and R. J. Brackentoury's rink took third, whiie J: O.
