Admission 50c (By Ceylon Reporter) Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Stewart of the west backline had their home suddenly saddened on Saturday last, when their only child. Jackson Ken- dall, passed away at the age of one year, his death taking place on his flr'st birthday. Jackson had been a patient in a Toronto hospital for some six weeks previous, but had been at his home the past week. The funeral was held on Monday, July 22nd, with service at the home of hi's^ parents, conducted by Rev. Dr. .\ndrew Thomson, who gave a comforting message to the bereaved parentis and relatives. Mrs. Black- burn and Mrs. Henderson of Flesh- trton rendered a lovely duet "Some- time We'll Understand." The beautiful floral tributes were silent messengers of love and 'sym- l>athy and were carried by Janet Bctts, Norfiia Eagles. June Adams. Ian and Ivan McWilldam, Douglas and Donald Sinclair and Melville McDermid. The pallibearerg were: Messrs. J. P. Stewart, Eddie Genoe, Wm. Irwin and L. Duckett. J. MoFadden on Sunday, it being the 80th birthday of Mrs. W. J, Cook of Traverston. A family of eight were all present except Ern- est of Detroit, Mich. Those present were: Mrs. Eugene Brown and two children from Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. V. Fairweather, Ilene and ALvin of Toronto. Mr. E. E, Cook of Kitchen, er, Mr. and Mrs. J. C Cook and Shirley of Zion, and Milss Leila Mc- Cullough Of Toroto, Mr. and Mrs- W. Baker and family of Traverston Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Cook of the old home. Also present were Mr. and Mr^. Joseph MicNally, Mrs. Cook's brother of Edge Hill. After old time reminiscence all sat down to a bountiful simper on the lawn. The taible was centred with a three stor- ey Birthday cake with candles. A basket he^^TIy laden with personal gifts was presented to the gue^t of honor, Mr, Jack Hill and Bill Sprung spent a day at Wasaga Beach.
