There are some fine fields of wheat in this district and I think Mr. Wes Smith has one which is hard to beat as he has wheat that measures six feet in height at the present ime. Rook Mills have organized a soft ball team and have played a few games this season. They have a real snappy team which will be hard to beat. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Russell Phillips who were married on Saturday, July 7th. They will re- side here upon their return from their honeymoon. We welcome Mrs. Phillips to the community. The Sunday School picnic which was held on Tuesday of last week in Mr. Akitt's bush was a decided suc- cess. A large crowd was present and over 150 sat down to supper. The ball game in the evening was the main attraction between Flesherton and Rock Mills. The score was 8-5 in favor of Rock Mills.
