Mr. and Mrs. John Meads received word that their son, Will, of Mann- ing Depot, Toronto, has undergone an operation for appendicitis and is in Christie St. hospital, Toronto. All wish him a speedy recovery. Pte. John \Voollard, Kitchener, was a caller here on Saturday. Mr. Jos. Meads spent the wek end visiting friends and relatives. Master Ray Middleton returned to Toronto aftor spending two weeks' vacation at the home of Hon. F. R. Oliver. Mr. and Mi.- Jas. Gillies, Mr. and Mrs. Emery McQuarrie and babe of Corbetton visited 1 on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. D. McKinnun and family. Mr. and Mrs. John Meads, Mr. Jos. Meads and Mrs. Jas. Ferris, Marie, Nora and Jackie, motored to Meaford on Sunday. Mrs. Ferris and family remained to visit friends there.
