Campbell, the optometrist, will be in Maxwell this Friday, 17th, from 1.30 to 4.30 p.m. Miss Ida Benson has taken a posi- tion near Collingwood. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Morrison and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Poole visited friends in Shelburne on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Ottewell vis- ited at the home of John Fenwick on Sunday. Mrs. Wilbert Poole is visiting her mother, Mrs. H. Down, in Flesherton. We have a suspicion Hitler made a mistake in not taking his Westwall with him when he went to attack Norway, BUCKINGHAM Mrs. Mary McMullen has returned home, having spent some time at the home of her iaugiiter, Mrs. ' Ross Smith, eighth line, Mr, Gilbert Essland had the mis- fortune to have several ribs broken while plowing. We hope they heal qui'kly, as this is not the most con^ venient time of the year for anyone on a fann to take an enforced holiday. Mr. Bruce Taylor spent a few days the past week in Toronto. Ws are glad to have Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Mitchell and family back after having spent the winter months in C<5lHngwood, A letter received from Perry Bow- ins of Rob Roy who (with Gordon Davidson) is firing on the S. S. Chem- ong, states that he likes sailing fine, so should still be able to stop the hot ones when another hockey season rolls around. Mrs. J. Shultz and son, Roy, of To- ronto and Mrs. Mary Noble and son, Vern, of Collingwood spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James. "When the grass turns green it says "GO" to the lawn mower.
