Abcu: three weeks ago he was taken to the hospital for treatment for mas- toids; and although the best medical advice was procured and nothing spared to prolong life, all proved of no avail. Lawrence was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Lyons and was born, attended school and grew to manhood and with, tho ex- ception of a few years sper.t in the West, had spent all his life among- us. He was a young man who was we'.l liked by everybody and very popular in \\\e community. About, ten years ago he married Miss Flor- ence Parliament, who taught schoo for some years in Ontario and in the West. By their united industrj they soon were in possession of a good farm home, and prospects bid fair for a long and happy wedded lit'?. Tho funeral took place on Sunday from their home on the centre line. The nervica was held in Mount Zion church. Rev. Mr. Bamford preaching a comforting sermon. A quartette sang -'Will the Circle be Unbroken." The casket was banked with a pro- fusion of beautiful flowers, mute t"5temonies of affection from a host of friends. Interment took place in Flesherton cemetery, the cortege being one of the largest seen In this district. Deceased was Master of L.O.L.
