I. they donated $26 towards purchasing new books for the library. We hope to have them by Christmas. Also collectors were appointed to get more funds towards new books. The col- lectors are Miss Leona Weber, Valley Road south; Miss V. Fawcett, Valley Road west; Miss R. Myles, 4th line north; Miss M. Stafford, 4th .south; Misses D. Stuart and J. Ellis, for the village. The W. M. S. and Ladies' Aid held their joint monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. W. T. Ellis, when 15 members were present. The devo- tional part was taken by theW. M. STINSON. ln>y Proton Station P.a M ORRISONâ€" STEVENSON A pretty wedding was solemnized on Wednesday, December 3rd at 12 o'clock noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Stevenson, Mclntyre, when their eldest daughter, Vei^na Maud, became the bride of Robert John Morison of Maxwell, the cere- mony being conducted by the Rev. H. Shannon of Mclntyre. The rooms were beautiful with flFowers and evergreens, offset by a blue and white color scheme. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly gowned in orchard georgette crepe and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations and was unattended. The wedding march was played by Miss Lena Miller of Badgeros, cousin of the bride. During the signing of the register Mrs. H. Shannon sang. After the cei-emony the guests, who numbered forty-four, proceeded to the dining room where a sumptu- ous wedding dinner was served by four of her girl friends. The num- erous gifts which the bride received shows the high esteem in which she is held. The groom's gift to the bride was a substantial cheque, and to the pianist a gold bar pin. Later Mr. and Mrs. Morrison left, amid showers of confetti and good wishes, for a honeymoon trip to Loadon and Toronto. The hride travelled in a dress of powder blue woo! crepe, gray velvet hat and reindeer velour coat with fur trimmings. On their return they will reside on the groom's farm at Maxwell.
