Will Hold Meetings On Church Union Question By the action of the last Assembly the Church Union movement has ent- ered upon a new phase, and after a temporary halt for deliberation and planning, the three uniting Churches are going on to consummation of ne- gotiations begun twenty years ago. The period of controversy on the gen- eral question was brought to a close with the decisive and final action taken by the supreme courts of the Churches concerned, and the next business is to put the union agree- ment into effect. It was with this end in view that representatives of the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian Churches from all parts of Ontario met in Wesley Building on October 30. Plans were drawn up for a Province-wide campaign, which will be initiated at Toronto on November 26, when a joint rally will be held in Massey Hall. This meeting will be addressed by the leaders of the three Churches who will at the time have returned from the campaigns in the East and West. These speakers will include Rev. Dr. George C. Pidgeon, Rev. Dr. James Endicott, Rev. Dr. Charles W. Gordon, Rev. Dr. W. T. Gunn, Rev. Dr. S. D. Chown, Princi- pal Gandier, Rev. Dr. J. W. Graham, and others. Addresses will be given telling the story of the movement East and West and presenting the vision and the task that lies before the new Canadian Church at horn and abroad. Conference will be organized in the larger centres of Ontario, at which the spiritual value of union will be discussed, and inspirational addresses by special speakers will be delivered. These conferences will not be open for- ums for interminable discussions on the general question of union; infor- mation as to the facts will be given, but the supreme purpose of the meet- ings will be to prepare for the advent of a new era of larger fellowship and Small Advertisements Truck For Rent 1^4 ton truck for rent.
