Great excitement just now In FlohertOII- One i the elections, the I'tluT is the sale of winter j^oods at cout at R. Trimble's. Financial. The farmers and business men of thin portion of our fair province have great reason to be thankful. We have hnd a long 1m' not severe winter, with contin- ued sleighing from the I njo KIIOW fell litst fall 'intil the present. This hns jjivei* tho farmers an opportunity which seldom occurs of teaming out wood, poles and logs, and thus adding to their year's income a respectable sum which, if it were not for the favorable weather, would bo unsecured. What benefits the farmer also benefits the business man, and for many years things have never been brighter in this township than they are at the preseii'. time. Thit is not the case elsewhere, however. \\ V paid Toronto a visit last ueek, and were surprised at the stagnation which we dis- covered there.
