- Full Text
WEDDING BELLS - There was a scent of orange blossoms in the air on Wednesday. That morning was to witness the nuptials of Miss Sadie Crawford and Mr. W. J. Speers, formerly of Markdale, and now of Alexandria, Minn. The bride being the eldest daughter of our respected Postmaster, while the groom was also well known in town, the event was looked forward to with interest, and a very large party of guests assembled at the residence of the bride's father to witness the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. J. Howell, M. A. The wedding presents were numerous and costly, and included a handsome piano from the father of the bride. The happy couple left to take the afternoon train, on their wedding tour, amidst many congratulations and well wishes. - O. S. Times
