Two farmers, one on the 2nd Con. Glenelg, and another in Bentinck, were last week approached by two big fat fellows, who have been staying at the Middaugh House for some time, and induced to sign an agreement to act as agent for some kind of washing machine, but it has since turned out that the supposed agreement of the Glenelg farmer, was a promissory note for $380, which has since been cashed in Mt. Forest. The probabilities are that some other parties in the neighborhood are also victimized, nowithstanding the repeated warnings we have given to farmers, not to have anything to do with such sharks. When will some people learn enough not to drop their piece of meat to grab at a shadow?--[Grey Review.
