_Court of Revision._ The adjourned sitting of Court of Revision was held in Town Hall on June 18th. All the members present, Mr. Moffat Presided, Minutes of former sitting read and confirmed, the assessment Roll was further amended as follows. Robert Williams put on Roll as Wage Earner. Alexander Lyons entered for lot C, Armstrongs Survey Markdale. McMillan--Lamb--That the Assessment Roll as now amended be the Revised Assessment Roll for the year 1887 and that the Clerk do now certify to it as such.--Carried. _Business Meeting._ Council met this day pursuant to adjournment. All the emmbers present. Reeve in the chair. Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed. Cheques were issued as follows.--Irving Anderson, bridge at lot 15 con.5, $8.00; Gillen Boyd, culvert at lot 9 con.1 E.G.T., $1.50; Neil Black, for right of way as per agreement in 1885, $6.00; Allan McLean, culvert on town line G and A half cost, $2.50; the Reeve, Deputy-Reeve, and Mr. Dunsmore, committee work, each $2.00; G. L. McCaul, Law fee, $6.00; Samuel M. Arthur, charity, $3.00; Robert Bell, charity, $4.00; The Clerk, half years salary, $75.00. Williams--McMillan--That whereas a petition signed by Thomas Townsend and 75 others was presented praying that a bridge be built across the river at lot 5, con.9, be it resolved that the Reeve, Messrs. Lamb and Dunsmore be a committee to examine the locality and report to this Council at its next meeting.--Carried. Appropriations were made for roads and bridges and the Treasurer authorized to honor the orders of commissioners for same as follows.--Wards 1. 2. and 4. $150 each, Ward 3. $170. The Reeve was authorized on order 8 steel road scrapers from A. McGill, the same to be delivered at the hall by the 16th inst. The Reeve and Deputy Reeve was appointed a committee to examine as to the advisability of building a bridge across Saugeen at lot 50, con.2, N.D.R. and report at next meeting of council. The committee appointed at last meeting fo council to enquire as to corporation's liability for damages to J. H. Bliss for loss of Horse, handed in their report, advising non payment of damages, Report submitted to committee of the whole and reported without amendment. Williams--Lamb--That the report of special committee re Bliss claim for damages for loss of horse &c. be received and adopted.--Carried. A petition from Mrs. Caswell relative to a fine under the License Act was presented to council, Mr. S. L. M. Luke addressed the council in support of same. Williams--Dunsmore--That the position of Mrs. Caswell be laid on the table for further consideration.--Carried. The Treasurer was instructed to receive $10.00 arrears of taxes against lots 13 and 14 con.3 N.D.R. the Clerk to instruct County Treasurer to erase the same. By law 251 authorizing the removal of obstructions in rivers and streams within the municipality was passed, and ordered to be engrossed on the By-law Book. Council adjourned to August 22 at 10 a.m. J. S. Black, Clerk
