Artemesia Plowing Match.

The plowing match came off as advertised on the farm of Mr. R. Oliver on the 19th inst. The weather was delightful and a large number of spectators were present. The number of competitors was not as large as was expected, owing doubtless in a great measure to this being the first under the auspices of the township Ag. Society. At a meeting of directors held at Flesherton Station on the 23rd inst. the following resolution was passed, viz: Moved by A. Stewart, seconded by D. McMillen and resolved; that the thanks of this board are due and hereby rendered to the several parties who contributed so liberal in the matter of prizes for the plowing match. _Prizes Awarded:_ 1st Class, Men. James Bryan, Edward Lomas, Arch. Currie. 3rd Class, Boys under 18. James McDonald, Colin McMillan. J. Brodie, Secretary.
