Euphrasia Council.

The Council met as a Court of Revision on June 15th, 1886. members all present. John Shaw's assessment confirmed. Corrections were made in the description of property assessed to Wm. Wiley and John Wiley. John W. Curry assessed fo N.E. part of lot 19, con. 7, (15 acres) at a valuation of $300, said land taken from non-resident roll. The assessment of John Curtis on N.E. ¾ of lot 10, concseeion 4, confirmed. On motion of Messrs. Erskine and Fawcett, the roll was then confirmed and the clerk ordered to certify to the same, as required by statute. The court arose. The council arose at two o'clock. Minutes of last session of council read and confirmed. By-laws Nos. 370 and 371 carried through the different stages and passed. The Reeve and Mr. Boyd were appointed to take action in reference to an application made for the building of a bridge on the 9th line, at lot No.2. Mr. Boyd was instructed to get repairs made on 7th line, at lot 29. William McConnel, pathmaster, was authorized to expend $15 on 27 and 28 sideroad, con. 4. Twenty five dollars was granted to be expended on hill of townline of Euphrasia and Collingwood, at lot 19, on condition that Collingwood council expend an equal amount at that place. The Reeve's orders were issued on the treasurer to pay as follows: Thos. Abercrombie, $5, gravel for road; R. Carruthers, $5, repairs on road; Yeoman's & Little, $50, payment on hall; J. R. Fawcett, $9, building culvert and furnishing timber; Elijah Gilbert, $3.50, building culvert; Jos. Howe, $6.70, road work at lot 1, con. 5. On motion being made and seconded, the council adjourned until Friday, July [21]. Robt. Dunlop, Clerk.
