Council met for the transaction of business on June 7th. Reeve in the chair, members all present. Moved by Mr. Galbraith, seconded by Mr. Williscroft, that the Clerk be instructed to notify the County Treasurer to erase the taxes charged against lot 3rd div. of 26, con. 1 E.G.R., being an error in assessment, and charge the amount against lot 3d div. of 26, E.G.R. Moved by Mr. Galbraith, seconded by Mr. Williscroft, that By-law No.5 for the appointment of pathmasters, poundkeepers, and fenceviewers be read a first, second and third times and engrossed on the minutes. A petition signed by Geo. Murray and 13 others with regard to getting some relief for Ronald McInnis. In due regard to the parties signing the above mentioned petition, the council do not feel inclined to entertain the same. Moved by Mr. Galbraith, seconded by Mr. Williscroft, the Clerk notify Marshal Ward to remove the fence off 50 sideroad that he placed there immediately, otherwise steps will be taken to have it removed at his expense. Moved by Mr. Williscroft, seconded by Mr. Howey, that the Reeve be instructed to get legal advice in the case of Marshal Ward, in the matter of putting fence across 50 sideroad, and that he take proceedings accordance with the advice. Moved by Mr. Galbraith, seconded by Mr. Howey, that we build bridge across the river at the mill in Holland Centre, and that the job be let by public competition, the Deputy Reeve superintend the job. Money for roads apportioned as follows: No.1, $75; No.2, $85; No.3, $70; No.4, $85; No.5 $70. Road Commissioners the same as last year. Moved and sconded that this Council adjourn till the 10th July. Carson Price, Clerk. June 7th, 1886. Adjourned Court of Revision. Members all present, Reeve in the chair. _List of appeals._ M. McLean, stock struck off, $150. A. Lyons, names placed on res. roll. Jacob Wheeldon name on roll as F.S. J. F. Halstead, placed on as tenant. Dr. McCullough, on roll for income. John Mackey on roll as owner for lot 24 and 17. George Mackey on roll for lott 22, con 1, E. Geo. Yeadle, part 13, con 12, E.G.R. John Farley, farmer's son. Matthew McCann. Wm. Quinn, farmer's son. Robt. Minions, do.; John McMullen, do.; Alex Taylor, do.; John Troughton, do.; David Bradley, do.; [Archle] Hamilton, do. On motion the Assessment Roll as revised was passed. Carson Price, Clerk.
