Full Text: Thos. McNae is building a planing factory 48 x 50 feet, which will be in operation as early in the spring as it is possible. Irwin & McCay have the timber on the ground for an addition to their tannery. Wm. Mason is preparing to have his residence vaneered with brick. Isaac Stinson is preparing to build himself a brick house. Thos. Mathews is getting material on the ground for a brick block on the old burnt stand. Mrs. Caswell is preparing to vaneer her house withbrick.

Notes: Editorial note: A suspicious fire which destroyed the planing mill of Grant & Co. was covered in the March 11, 1886 edition of the Standard (reward for capture of arsonist posted on pg 1 col. 3 of this edition). Not my responsibility to read between the lines, but this coincidence seems noteworthy.
