Holland Council.

The Township Council met as an adjourned Court of Revision from the 1st of June. Members all present--Reeve in the chair. /Appeals to the Court:/--Geo. Delane on real and personal property, reduced $50 on real and $50 on personal; John Delane on real and personal property, sustained; Edward Howey on stock; Wm. Ross' assessment struck off; John and Wm. McKinnett placed on Roll as farmer's sons, for lot 47, Con. 2, W. T. S. R.; Richard and John McKinnett placed on Roll as farmers sons for lot 48 and 49, con. 2, W. T. S. R. Wm. and John Wylie placed on Roll as tenants for lot N1/2 14, Con. 12, E. G. R.; Martin McClean, stock reduced $100. Moved by Mr. Galbraith, seconded by Mr. Howey, That the Court of Revision now close, and that the Assessment Roll as now amended be passed. Holland Centre, June 13, '85. The Council met at 2 o'clock for the transaction of general business. Minutes of former meeting read and approved. Moved by Mr. Shute, seconded by Mr. Galbraith, That the bill of C. W. Rutledge be paid. Moved by Mr. Shute, seconded by Mr. Williscroft, That the Reeve be empowered to make arrangements with the new proprietor of the hotel as to using the hall of the Council room. Moved by Mr. Galbraith, seconded by Mr. Shute, That the taxes charged against west part lot 15, con. 2, be erased and charged against the west part 13, Con. 2. Moved by Mr. Galbraith, seconded by Mr. Howey, That the Reeve be empowered to engage a solicitor to defend the matter of appeal in the C. P. R. case. Moved by Mr. Shute, seconded by Mr. Galbraith, That $25 be granted to the village of Chatsworth to be expended on McNabb street to repair culverts and graveling and that the Pathmaster of the village [remainder of article indecipherable]
