Reopening of the Free Industrial Drawing Classes.

Mr. Editor.-- Will you please inform the numerous teachers who are your readers the Hon. Minister of Education has directed the Reopening of these classes to be conducted during the summer Holidays for the benefit of Public Model and High School Teachers, commencing on Tuesday 7th July 1885 and to continue till the end of this month. The classes will be conducted by competent Instructors on the following Primary Subjects :-- Primary (Grade B.) Freehand from Flat examples, Practical Geometry, Linear Perspective, Model Drawing and Memory and Blackboard Drawing --12 lessons each. Second or High Grade A, Shading from flat examples. 20 lessons, Industrial designs and Machine Drawing 15 lessons each and Drawing from Dictation 10 lessons, examinations will be held at the close, when certificates entitling holders to teach, industrial Drawing in the Mechanics' Institutes and Public Schools, will be awarded to those successful. (65 full certificates were granted last year). Early applications will be necessary to ensure admission and should be addressed to the Superintendent Dr. S. P. May Education Department Toronto.
