The following suggestions are good ones and would be highly beneficial to the public; In many cases serious loss would be averted and the cost would amount to a mere bagatelle. The Port Hope Times thinks that the holding of the Division Courts should be properly advertised and paid for by the Counties in the local papers where the Courts are held.
The Campbellford Herald adds that the Treasurer's sale of Lands for taxes should be advertised in every paper in the county. The mere appearance of this advertisement is next to useless. The folly of it may be seen by the fact that the paper in which the advertisement appears may not circulate a single copy in the districts where most of the land advertised is located, and many times the sale is known only to the few within the range of the one newspaper circulation. Our County Council should slice up this matter and have the sale of lands properly [unreadable] in the [unreadable]
