Gino Caccamo, 1st Vice President presid- ed in the absence of the President, Mr. F.V. Harness. Routine busi- ness was attended to and the various commi- ttees gave their reports. J. Handel reported for the Maintenance Com- mittee with information on the installation of the electric furnace and the duct work yet to be done. Jack also reported on the Bicentennial ev- ents soon to take place. The Chimo Club will join with other local or- ganizations holding bake sales and a table of artifacts. Mrs. Winnie Campbell will convene the artifacts assisted by Marguerite Gerow and Helen Wallace. Bake sale convenor is Beth Macadam assisted by Celia Valentino, Jeanne Huard, Jean Stitt and Bern Jacomb. Arrangements for the August 6th float will be taken care of by J. Han- del, Alice Sparkes, Beth Macadam, Ida Gifford and Winnie Campbell. The Annual picnic will be held at Neys Park on Wednesday, August 8th. Mrs. Gerow announ- ced the May Home Bingo winners; lucky numbers were: Mrs. Kenney, Gino Caccamo, Toots Jacques, and Olive Reynolds. Bingo winners were: Audrey McKay, Helen Stokes, Betty Ellsworth, Roma Matson, Doris Mar- cella. > Mrs. Bern Jacomb, Card Secretary, report- ed on Get Well cards which were sent to Mar- tha MHuller, Chas. Holmes and Annie Niemi. Sympathy cards were sent to the Frank Figliomeni family and the Niemi family. Happy birthday was sung to Huck Gerow. Draw win- ner was J. Handel. A wine and cheese party followed with a balloon-dart game en- joyed by all. Also play- ed was a shuffleboard tournament won by Etta Gray and Bern Ja- comb; the Whist game was won by Violet Nes- bitt and Jeanne Huard. | Bridge, winners were M. Gerow and G. Caccamo. St. Martin C.W.L. The ldst regular monthly meeting of St. Martin of Tours C.W.L. was held Sunday even- ing, June 10th in the Church Hall. Marylyn Turcotte, the President, opened the meeting with the League Prayer. Suzanne Black gave the secretary's report and read the correspond- ence. The Treasurer's report was given by Lui- gina Costa. Sharyn Legall spoke on the Homily for the children which was held. The theme was faith, hope and charity. Linda Rochon, Educa- tion convenor reported on the first communion which was held June 3rd. Certificates were given to the children, also holy cards, medals and crosses.
