A WEDDING in Whitby on Saturday morning united Eileen Margaret Brown and James Allan McGarry. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown of Whitby and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McGarry, Oshawa. The ceremony was held in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. --Dennis Studios McGarry - Brown St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Whitby, was the setting for the wedding on Saturday morning of Eileen Margaret Brown and James Allan McGarry. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, Whitby, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Pat- rick McGarry of Oshawa. The Reverend Owen Coch- rane officiated while the wed- ding music was played by the organist, Mrs. Patrick Wilson. The bride whose father gave her in marriage, was attried in a formal sheath of peau de sole with a rounded hemline, divided at the front. The sheath was topped by~a-full-length Chan- tilly lace cut-away coat with short, stand-away sleeves and a chapel train. A cluster of ros- ettes and leaves held her shoulder-length, triple veil of formal bouquet of gardenias and stephanotis. Miss Gail McDonald was the maid of honor wearing a formal aqua, empire gown with match- ing accessories and carrying aqua and white carnations with ivy trails. Mr. Patrick McGarry was the best man and ushering were Jack McGarry and Arthur Arm- strong, all of Oshawa. A reception was held at Spruce Villa Hotel. The bride's mother received in a dress of deep aqua and the bridegroom's mother chose dusty pink. The bride donned a pink silk linen dress and three-quarter coat with navy blue accesso- ries and a corsage of pink and white carnations when the couple left for their honeymoon in northern Ontario and the United States.
