Horace Stanley Morris, 43, 110 Carlton street, appeared before Magistrate C. W. Guest. Morris was charged that on June 4 he unlawfully drove a motor vehicle while his licence was under suspension. Also that on June 4 he drove using a licence which was wrongly made out to himself. The third charge was one of giving wrong- ful information during March, 1962, to procure a licence. The accused pleaded guilty to all the charges. Sergeant David Fleming of Pickering Township Police Department said that he' had cause to investigate the accused who was parked on Front Street at Frenchman's Bay on June 4, The sergeant. said that the accused produced a chauffeur's licence which he subsequently discovered was incorrect. Ser- geant Fleming said that on in- vestigation he found that there were two suspension orders made out against the accused. He also said that the accused admitted giving a false address when applying for the permit. His Worship found Morris guilty on all three charges and fined him $200 and costs on the first charge, $50 and costs on the second charge and $25 and costs on the third. It was suggested Bowling Dates Set For Summer Tournaments One of the summer joys for many Whitby residents is the pleasure and relaxation gained by participating in the sport of lawn bowling. The Whitby Lawn Bowling Club has rolled up its sleeves for another year and released the schedule for the coming months. On Wednesday, June 27, rinks will compete for the Anderson Trophy awarded for mixed doubles. On July 4 there will be a session of mixed trebles bowling. On the evening of June 13 the men's doubles compete and July 20 sees another twilight session of mixed doubles. The last July event will be the bowling for the McBride Trophy which takes place on July 28. August 8 is the date for the Red Wing Rose Bowl trophy which is competed for by mixed) doubles, there will be a double) draw for the event. The Wilson; Trophy for mixed trebles will be played for on August 25. A prize of fruit will be given for the winning rink of the mixed doubles competing on September 29.
