Page 8 Saturday, July 2, 1977 Here's another Summer Salad Idea 4 cups shredded cabbage (1/2 of large head) 2 cups cubed Colby Cheese (%-inch cubes) 12 ounce can whole kernel corn with red and green sweet peppers, well drained 2 tablespoons _ sliced olives black Calico Cabbage Slaw Dressing 1 cup salad dressing' or mayonnaise 2 tablespoons each sugar and vinegar 1 tablespoon prepared must- ard Y2. teaspoon dill weed Corn and cheese give this sweet, tangy slaw its most unique character; making it hearty enough for a maindish. In 3-quart bowl combine salad ingredients. Pour dressing over salad and toss_ until well blended. Chill. DRESSING: In small bowl combine dressing ingredients. Blend well. YIELD: 5 cups. Flag Theft is no Joke The theft of the Canadian flag is severely punishable by law, the Canada Post Office has warned. The warning followed numer- ous disappearances of flags from the pole in front of the Russell post office. The flags had to be replaced at consider- able expense to taxpayers. If caught, the thief will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, the Post Office said. Advertising make jobs.
