This trophy was donated anonymously. kkk eR ek KR kK The Russell Invitational Volleyball Meet saw the Russell boys take it for the second year running over Martintown. The team involved were Scott Cameron, Greg MacLaren, Kirk Rothenberger, Alex Hayward, Bruce Otto, Mike Larocque, Kim Eadie. The Martintown girls won for the third year running. We understand their win over the Russell girls was upsettingly close. ek ke kK Ke ke KK eK Ke eK PUBLIC SPEAKING - The public speaking contest was held at the Russell Public School recently and for the third year running Pamela Smit won top honours. Chris Coates was second, and Paula Cleroux third. ; ee The Grade 8 students of the Russell Public School are planning a trip to Moosonee. The departure is arranged for 8 a.m. June 17th at the Public School. Their return is expected June 19th at 7 p.m. The students have been conducting a number of fund raising projects. i.e. (Hot dog sale every Friday). There are several purposes for this particular destination, one of which is educational value. The students will have an opportunity to see first hand, areas they have
