4 70 THE OSHAWA TIMES, Friday, Merch 25, 1960 N J. A. MORPHY H. P. SCHELL E. H. WALKER "A. G. STORIE W. A. WECKER, 0.B.E. T. L. WILSON EPORT TO THE PEOPLE... Q Tice the inception of the first Hospital in Oshawa in 1910, the people of this city have inspired the constant growth of this institution which has now reached mammoth proportions. both in size and in service. In 1958 the most extensive building program in the history of the Hospital was completed marking a big step forward in the provision of the facilities for the sick people of the area. Time has marched on and already the demands, because of an ever-increasing population in the area, have forced your directors to plan for another wing which will provide an additional 220 beds The campaign to raise funds for this effort will be launched under the direction of Mr. E. H. Walker who has kindly accepted the position of General Campaign Chairman. To all the administrative and medical staff, the women's auxiliary and all those who have co-operated so faithfully and generously during the past year, | tender my sincere thanks and the thanks of my associates on the Board and express the hope that we may merit a continuance of this support in the years to come -- This community might well be proud of the past record of the Oshawa General Hospital for its "service to the patients' which, has been, is, and will continue to be our first consideration T.
