Thorington has been trans- ferred to Gravenhurst from the Motive Power Dept., Allandale, and moved his family there this week. --Unusually keen interest is! being taken in the big fancy! bazaar to be held im St, George's Memorial Mall on April 8. The hen are out fo turn in more ro- ceipts than the ladies and have some hig surprises in store for them Death of Fred R. Allward A particularly bright and pro- mising young life wax ended when death claimed -- Frederick Roy Allward, only son of Mr. and Mrs. 8. J. Allward. Ie passed away on March 19, in the Toron- to General Hospital, death being due,.to complications which set flu. Deceased was in his 31st year and had lived in Barrie till he went West, some ill health, he received his dis- charge some time afterwards and has since been in the employ of the Canadian Manufacturers' As- sociation in Toronto, where he will be mach missed for the val- uable services he rendered them. Just previous to his death he had started to publish a series of ar- ticles on freight claims and their collections, in the Industrial Mag- azine of Canada, for which he had received much praise. The remains were brought to the home of his parents on Brad- ford SL., the funeral taking place on Tuesday afternoon to the Union Cemetery, the service be- ing conducted by the Rev. R. J.
