Typewriting trophies for obtaining the highest net speed for the level were won by Tony Costa - first year, Jennifer Poole - second year, Debbie Dimmery - third and fourth year. Following the program refreshments were served and the crowd mingled with the grad- ates. This year the graduates enjoyed their dinner, some days prior to commencement, and held their dance in the Schreiber Auditorium. TERRACE BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT During the period June 21st to July 5th, 1976 a total of forty two occurrences were re- ceived and investigated. ; There were seventeen house checks, one dog complaint, one child complaint, one parking complaint, three assistance, one public two other police forces, two disturbances - per- sons responsible warned, one fraud under inves -tigation, one property damage (window of Recreation Office), one break, enter and theft (Boy Scout Hall), one impaired driver to ap- pear in court August 5, 1976, two thefts under $200.00 under investigation, seven motor veh- icles spot checks and three charges under the Highway Traffic Act. On June 23, 1976 a Schreiber resident was taken to the Lakehead Psychistric Hospital and later criminal charges were layed after hold- ing a hostage at gun point for four and one half hours at 112 Laurier Avenue, Terrace Bay. The accused gave himself up after Cheif David Barnett went into the house unarmed and talked with him.
